The hummus and falefel were excellent. I just would've loved more variety offered on the plate. They also didn't have any tea which I was craving at the time. Overall, a good decision to stop in for a healthy lunch or a cheap dinner. Good service too.

The sandwiches are very good for the price. The combos are also very good and come with a salad or lentil soup. Both are delicious. All ingredients are pretty fresh. I would definitely come back if I were going to school here. I came with a group of 12 and they were very accommodating, even opening up a new line for us.

So... $3.50 wraps on Tuesdays (and other specials every day of the week!) freshly grilled meat, smiley service, no-frills but practical setup, well-maintained, and consistently good? I like it. (You're the best, Fried eggplant wrap.) I wish they had freshly baked pita bread but I'm just being nitpicky at that point. The location is great as well! Will definitely try the smoothies next time.

Absolutely love this place. Their lentil soup is really, really great as is everything I've ever ordered there. I'm really not crazy about hummus, but their hummus is so good that I usually order extra to go. The chicken shawarma is absolutely amazing as are the beef dishes. The restaurant is always impeccably clean and the people working the counter are so friendly and helpful. The guys who run the kitchen (and I'm assuming also own the place) are always willing to answer questions about the menu and are just really great, really hardworking guys. They also have great lunch specials and a nice coffee and smoothie bar too! Go check it out!

Wow, what a ripoff! The flavor of the food is just fine, but the portions are terrible! I just got the fried eggplant and cauliflower combo and opened the takeout box at home to find that I only got 2 tiny pieces of cauliflower and eggplant each, and 1 small piece of pita bread.....although there was plenty of tabouli and some hummus. Not only that, but the container with the lentil soup was less than half full! This was my second time at this sultan's, and I remember trying a kabob wrap before and getting the same "still-hungry" impression. Take your business elsewhere.

Saffron Grill is really my favorite restaurant in the area of East Lansing. Their food is a great healthy option and also so delicious. You can also get fresh fruit juices and smoothies. Their service is great and their kubideh kebab on the weekend is the best.

My favorite Mediterranean place ever. Their food is fresh, healthy, and a great bargain. I used to work here so I know firsthand that freshness and sanitation are of utmost importance to the owner and the cook. Their shawarma really sets them apart from other places: it's juicy, flavorful, and unprocessed (unlike most cheap shawarma places). Their rice is fluffy and flavorful, their salads are incredibly fresh with a delicious zesty house made vinaigrette, their hummus is creamy and rich, and their garlic sauce is flavorful without being too spicy. Other favorites are the mujadara and the falafel, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Finally, if you're going to go here, make sure to save room for juices and smoothies. They're all fresh squeezed right in front of you- I especially like the guava smoothie.

I had the falafel wrap, and must say the falafel was delicious! Such a delicious flavor, and i'm very picky when it comes to my love affair with Lebanese food. They use cilantro and parsley which give it a unique flavor unlike most falafel i've had. On the menu it's says it just has tahini and garlic sauce, however mine had no garlic sauce , which I was most excited about. Real buzzkill. It also had tomato, lettuce, and cucumber. A pleasant surprise for some, not for me. Next time I will be very specific when ordering. They do have great specials though- $3.50 wraps on tuesdays!

I have been to this place a couple times and it is pretty good. The only reason im not giving it 5 stars is because the garlic sauce is not garlic sauce. It doesnt taste good. That is my favorite thing on a chicken schwarma sandwhich and it isnt good. It tastes like flavored mashed potatoes or something. If sultans started making home made from scratch garlic paste with garlic cloves, olive oil, and lemon then i would be there 3 times a week but it really turns me off from going there because they dont have it. I am not sure why they dont already do that because every other traditional Mediterranean restaurant i have ever been to makes amazing garlic paste... Then in would actually be the worlds best chicken schwarma sandwhich.

It's conveniently located right near the campus of Michigan State University, making it easy for students of all ethnicity to enjoy a Mediterranean meal and experience a different culture in the same instance. The chicken shawarma with rice was easily my favorite meal, and prepared excellently, along with the accompanying lamb on the side. The garlic also really gives the cuisine a very distinct flavor and taste you won't forget. I really enjoyed the smoothie I had as well, and there's a wide variety of flavors available to suit many individual's desires and tastes. The facilities were some of the cleanest around, and the middle eastern music playing in the background set the mood very nicely. I will definitely be going back in the future to enjoy another meal and taking friends with me. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Saffron Grill to anyone looking for Mediterranean cuisine or simply just for a change in eating establishments from their usual stops. Give Saffron Grill a try, and recommend it to others as well. You won't regret it!
